About Shanghai Yingfan

Who is Shanghai Yingfan and what do you specialize in?

We are Shanghai Yingfan Engineering Material Co., Ltd., a Shanghai-based manufacturer and integrated supplier of geosynthetic lining products. Founded in 2009, we specialize in the R&D, manufacturing, sales and installation of geomembranes and related geosynthetics. Our products serve environmental, water, mining, municipal and infrastructure applications in China and overseas.

What makes Shanghai Yingfan different from other geosynthetic suppliers?

Our strength is the combination of manufacturing capability and engineering experience. We provide geosynthetic materials together with technical and installation support, allowing us to consider both product performance and field conditions. This integrated approach helps us recommend practical specifications, coordinate supply and support customers from material selection through installation.

Can you handle large-volume or project-based orders?

Yes. We operate multiple production lines and have an annual geomembrane production capacity exceeding 30,000 tons. For large projects, we can coordinate production, quality control, packaging and shipment according to the project schedule. Please send us your specifications, estimated quantity and required delivery date so we can prepare a suitable production and delivery plan.

Products & Technical Solutions

What geosynthetic products do you manufacture?

Our main product range includes HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE geomembranes, nonwoven  geotextiles, Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCL), composite geomembranes, composite drainage network, geogrids and so on. Depending on the project, we can supply individual products or coordinate a complete geosynthetic lining system.

How do I choose the right geomembrane for my project?

The selection should be based on the project design, contained material, chemical exposure, substrate conditions, settlement, slope geometry, installation requirements and applicable standards. HDPE is widely used where high chemical resistance and dimensional stability are required, while LLDPE offers greater flexibility and elongation. If you are unsure, send us your drawings or project specification and our technical team can help evaluate the suitable material and thickness.

What is the difference between HDPE and LLDPE geomembranes?

HDPE geomembranes generally provide high chemical resistance, stiffness and dimensional stability. LLDPE geomembranes are more flexible and offer higher elongation, which can be advantageous where the subgrade may experience movement or differential settlement. The best choice depends on the project design and service conditions rather than on material type alone.

When should I use a smooth or textured geomembrane?

Smooth geomembranes are commonly used on relatively flat surfaces and where low interface friction is acceptable. Textured geomembranes provide higher interface friction and are often selected for slopes or other applications where interface stability is important. The appropriate surface type should be determined from the project slope, adjacent materials and interface shear requirements.

What is a GCL, and when is it used with a geomembrane?

A Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) is a factory-manufactured composite containing sodium bentonite between geotextile layers. When properly hydrated and confined, the bentonite swells and forms a low-permeability barrier. GCLs are commonly used as part of composite lining systems, including landfill and containment applications, where an additional low-permeability layer is required.

Quality, Standards & Documentation

What standards can your geomembranes be manufactured to?

Our geomembranes can be manufactured according to applicable project specifications and recognized standards, including GRI specifications and relevant Chinese standards such as GB/T 17643 and CJ/T 234. ASTM methods are used for relevant physical and mechanical testing. The applicable standard should be confirmed before production so that the product specification and test requirements are aligned with your project.

How do you control product quality and batch consistency?

We control quality from raw-material inspection through production and finished-product testing. Production parameters and product dimensions are monitored during manufacturing, while finished products are tested according to the applicable specification. Production records and test reports are maintained for traceability. We can provide factory test documentation and supporting quality records according to the project requirements.

Can you provide test reports, certificates and third-party inspection?

Yes. We can provide factory test reports and relevant product documentation. Third-party inspection or laboratory testing can also be arranged when required by the customer or project specification. The testing scope, laboratory and associated cost are confirmed according to the required standards and inspection requirements.

What warranty do you provide?

We provide product warranties covering applicable manufacturing and material defects, subject to the product type, agreed specification, installation requirements and conditions of use. The applicable warranty period and terms are confirmed in the quotation or sales contract. Warranty coverage does not replace the need for proper product selection, installation and project-specific quality control.

Manufacturing & Delivery

What is your production capacity?

Our annual geomembrane production capacity exceeds 30,000 tons. We operate multiple geomembrane production lines as well as production facilities for geotextiles, GCL and geocomposite products. Production capacity and scheduling depend on product type, specification, order quantity and current production requirements.

What is your typical lead time?

Lead time depends on the product, quantity, specification and production schedule. Standard products can generally be arranged faster than customized specifications or large-volume orders. Once we receive your required specifications and quantity, we will confirm the production lead time and estimated shipping schedule in the quotation or order confirmation.

Can you produce customized specifications?

Yes. We can discuss customized thicknesses, widths, surface types, packaging and other product requirements within our production capabilities. For project-specific products, please send us your technical specification or drawings. Our team will review the requirements and confirm feasibility, minimum order quantity, lead time and pricing before production.

Installation & Technical Support

Do you provide geomembrane installation services?

Yes. In addition to manufacturing geosynthetic materials, we provide installation and technical support for lining projects. Our experience covers applications such as landfills, wastewater facilities, aquaculture ponds, containment areas, tanks and other impermeability projects. Installation support can be arranged according to project scope and site requirements.

How are geomembrane seams welded and tested?

HDPE and LLDPE geomembranes are typically field-seamed using hot-wedge welding, with extrusion welding used for details, penetrations, repairs and areas that cannot be welded with a wedge machine. Seam quality is checked using appropriate non-destructive methods, such as air-pressure or vacuum testing, together with destructive peel and shear testing at specified sampling frequencies. The exact procedure should follow the applicable project specification and approved installation method statement.

Can you provide technical support at our project site?

Yes. Depending on the project scope, we can provide technical guidance covering installation planning, welding parameters, equipment setup, operator training and seam quality control. For projects requiring on-site assistance, technician dispatch can be discussed based on the location, duration and service requirements.

Export, Shipping & Ordering

What international trade terms and shipping options do you offer?

We can quote under commonly used Incoterms® such as EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP, subject to the agreed transaction terms. For international orders, sea freight is normally the most economical option for bulk shipments, while air or other transport modes can be considered for samples or urgent requirements. The applicable Incoterm, destination and shipping scope will be clearly stated in our quotation.

How much product can you load into a container?

Container loading capacity depends on product thickness, width, roll length, packaging, container type and applicable weight limits. Instead of using a fixed quantity, we prepare a loading plan based on your exact specifications. This allows us to optimize container utilization and estimate the shipping cost more accurately.

What is your minimum order quantity, and can I order samples?

MOQ depends on the product, specification and whether the material is standard, customized or available from stock. Samples can be arranged for product evaluation, with sample size and shipping arrangements confirmed according to the request. Please tell us which product and specification you would like to evaluate, and we will advise the applicable sample arrangement.

What payment terms do you accept?
